Our article about the current top British adult stars does on occasion make reference to those adult stars that have made mainstream media appearances. But what about the other way round? What mainstream celebrities have made adult appearances?
Well, the obvious choice would be Abi Titmuss, the nurse turned glamour model turned TV presenter turned thespian. Her appearance in a sex video or two certainly hasn't harmed her career and she has turned her hand to involvement with the adult industry that she actually expected as a presenter on the British adult station Television X.
That station has presented many opportunities to a number of stars though. Rebecca Loos, initially of shagging David Beckham fame but latterly known more for glamour shoots, hilariously good-natured but terrible singing performances with James Hewitt on The X-Factor and a string of reality TV show appearances across the world, also had a stint on that station. Former Big Brother contestants Emma Greenwood, Michelle Bass and Danielle Lloyd have all had a stint on the station post-Big Brother.
Michelle Thorne's case is slightly different. She started in the adult industry and has tried to break through into the popular media with limited success. A reasonable amount of exposure on The X-Factor showed her to have a reasonable voice, but she has seen not much more of the limelight since then. She now describes herself as a glamour model and has tried to put the porn industry behind her.
Going back to celebrities in leaked sex videos, of course, there is the case of Jordan who has now become a permanent fixture of despicably shit magazines like Heat and Now on the back of her mainstream stardom. She really would have been better sticking to the nudity - she was far better at that.
